Principal's NOVEMBER Newsletter
Jackson-Keller Elementary, Title I Campus
Dream It, Believe It, Achieve It!
We have completed the first 9 weeks and report cards have been issued. We will be conducting parent-teacher conferences on Tuesday, November 3rd and Wednesday, Novembe 4th. Please make sure to schedule a face to face or phone conference with your child’s teacher. These days are also early dismissal days and your child will be dismissing at 1:00 PM. This means that all day care, buses, and parents will be picking up at this time. Students in KINS will also be going to the cafeteria at 1:00 PM.
We also have Book Fair this week. We encourage you to buy a book for your child so they can read at home. Our school librarian, Mrs. Darilek, will be available if you should have any questions or suggestions for a great book.
We will honor our veterans for the Veteran’s Day Parade. This is a time for your child to walk in a parade with their veteran. Breakfast pastries and coffee will be provided in the library.
Our 3rd – 5th grade students will be given a benchmark during the second week of November. We ask that you encourage your child to use the strategies taught by their teacher. You are more than welcome to see the benchhmark after it is administered to create the dialogue between you and the teacher.
Please keep this newsletter handy as we will no longer be sending individual flyers for our events. Instead, the monthly newsletter, emails and phone notifications will be sent so you can join us.
Thank you for being an integral part in your child’s life and for supporing our school.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 210-407-4400.
