January Prude Ranch Update Letter

January 6, 2005 Dear Students, Parents and Guardians, Our trip to Prude Ranch, McDonald Observatory, Historical Fort Davis, and Big Bend National Park will take place Tuesday through Friday, March 1-4, 2005. Our turkey and ham fundraising event was quite successful for those students who participated. Thank you for all your help. Attached to this letter is important information regarding the trip (click here): 1. Prude Ranch Trip Update and Remaining Due Dates 2. ISA Travel Authorization and Health Form 3. Prude Ranch Permission/Medical Information/Liability Release and Prude Ranch Pledge and Student Conduct (These forms are required by Prude Ranch.) The permission and health forms must be filled out completely, signed by parents and student, and returned to the junior team teachers by January 28, 2005. The next monetary deposit of $100.00 is also due by January 28, 2005. Please check with your child about their balance due. Lists are posted in the hall and in junior team classrooms. We are anticipating an exciting academic adventure with physics, math, history and literature in the beautiful, outdoor environment of the Davis Mountains and Big Bend. To maximize the learning opportunities for our students, we are asking that students leave cell phones and all electronic equipment/devices at home. We appreciate your help with this by assisting your child in the packing process. Emergency phone numbers are listed on the Prude Ranch Trip Update. Before boarding the bus for the trip, student bags will be searched for items inappropriate for student academic travel. Thank you for all your support.
