The International School of the Americas is accredited by the Texas Education Agency and the Southern Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges.

Grading

Students are required to maintain a minimum average of 80%. Students receive honors weighting for most ISA courses. Exceptions to the honors weighting are Spanish I ,Algebra I, Chemistry in the Community, and Conceptual Physics.

Other Requirements

All students are required to complete 120 hours of community service. Students are also required to complete 120 hour internships in the career fields of their choice. Student interns must fulfill specific professional competencies while in these experiences. Students also receive seminars in professional etiquette and will participate in a final senior portfolio presentation reflecting their four years of experiences at the International School of Americas.
