All shadow dates meet from 8:30 to 10:30 AM.  Both parents and students are invited and encouraged to attend.  Please sign in at the ISA Main Office on your shadow date.

How do I sign-up to Shadow?

Option 1:

Please e-mail Mr. Paul Smith, ISA Assistant Principal, at psmith2@neisd.net as soon as possible  with three possible shadowing dates. 

Please include:

  • Student Name          

  • Student Current Middle School      

  • Student Home High School (The public high school the student would attend based upon their residence)

  • Parent Name(s)        

  • Parent Preferred Phone Number   

  • Parent Preferred E-Mail Address

Mr. Smith will send a confirmation e-mail if there is space available on one of the dates you request.

Option 2:

Please select three possible shadowing dates and fax or mail this form to ISA as soon as possible.  You will receive confirmation of your shadow date by telephone, fax, or e-mail based upon the information you provide.

·         Due to facility restraints, only 25 students can shadow each day.

·         Due to the popularity of the shadow program, shadow dates are limited to only current 8th graders.

·         Slots for shadow dates are filled on a first-come-first-serve basis. We will accommodate specific date requests whenever possible, but are unable to guarantee any date.

PLEASE NOTE: The absence your student will receive is not automatically an excused absence for his/her middle school.  We will be happy to provide a note for you to show your middle school attendance office. However, it is up to the middle school to decide whether it is excused or school business.
