Since its inception in 1994, ISA has accepted its freshman students through an open lottery. In order to be eligible for the ISA Freshman Lottery, a potential student needs to complete the Freshman Application--including the essay components--and submit it by the annual deadline.
Prospective freshmen are encouraged to participate in ISA's Shadowing Program (see below) that allows students to "try on" the ISA experience before applying.

WHY: The shadow program is designed to allow students to "try-on" the ISA experience before committing to applying/attending the school. It also offers parents the opportunity to learn about the school, tour the facility, and meet with a number of ISA faculty members.
WHAT: Students and parents will come to ISA before for a brief information session. Then, students will attend ISA classes while parents take a tour of the campus and participate in a question/answer session with members of the ISA faculty.
WHO: Any student who is interested in learning more about ISA with the possibility of enrolling as a ninth grader for the 2015-2016 school year. Both parents and students are invited and encouraged to attend. There will be separate sessions for current high school students (and their parents) who are interested in transferring to ISA; these will be open for students applying to start at ISA in grades 10-12 only. These dates and a registration form will be posted here and on the ISA home page when they have been finalized.
WHEN: The program will run from 9:15 am to 11:15 am.
WHERE: Sign in as a visitor in the ISA Office, located on the first floor of the ISA building. ISA is located on the Montview Street side of Lee High School campus, 1400 Jackson Keller. Parking is available in a lot located on the corner of Jackson Keller and Montview. Follow the signs to the ISA Office.
Please arrive early because parking is limited due to construction.
HOW: Complete this Registration Form.
PLEASE NOTE: The absence your student will receive is not automatically an excused absence for his/her middle school. We will be happy to provide a note for you to show your middle school attendance office. However, the middle school administrators will decide if they will consider the absence "excused" or "school business." Please inquire with your middle school office in advance if you have any questions.
