Mission statement

Model United Nations San Antonio is a non-profit, student run organization that seeks to create a dynamic learning opportunity for students from the San Antonio area, the state of Texas, the United States of America, and Mexico. As a simulation, MUNSA strives to offer a forum in which academic, leadership, and interpersonal skills combine and lead students in discussions on our world's most pressing problems.

MUNSA XIV: Origins

To celebrate the fourteenth year of Model United Nations San Antonio, the theme of MUNSA XIV will be Origins. The term Origins refers to Woodrow Wilsons Fourteenth Point:

14. A general association of nations must be formed under specific covenants for the purpose of affording mutual guarantees of political independence and territorial integrity to great and small states alike.

This statement, initially leading to the League of Nations, has formed the basis for continued international cooperation and peace. It is from this fourteenth goal that the United Nations was born.

In the tradition of Woodrow Wilson, of the League of Nations, and of the United Nations, MUNSA XIV will strive to embody the ideals of this most influential suggestion in every way. We will strive to learn from the past while stepping bravely into the future.
