Our Mission Statement

The Huebner Counseling Team will nurture the social, emotional and psychological development of all children so that they may enjoy personal and academic excellence.  Our vision is to empower our students to become loving, kind, and responsible lifelong learners.

Our Counseling Team

Our Counseling Team is comprised of one full-time counselor, Mrs. Melissa Perez and one half-time counselor, Mrs. Sherri Tobin.  Together we are a support team for our parents, students and staff.  Although Mrs. Melissa Perez and Mrs. Sherri Tobin are available to assist and service all students, parents, and staff; each counselor will provide certain grade levels with guidance lessons, lunch bunches/small group counseling, and individual counseling.  Mrs. Tobin will be servicing grade levels:  Kinder, 3rd and 5th grades; while, Mrs. Perez will be servicing grade levels:  1st, 2nd, and 4th grades.  We are extremely fortunate to have Mrs. Tobin with us on a weekly basis; she will be here every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday during an average work week.

Mrs. Tobin is the Campus Safe and Drug Free Schools Coordinator, Parent Volunteer Liasion, and Churchill PALS Contact.  Mrs. Perez is the Campus Testing Coordinator, 504 Campus Coordinator and Campus Benchmark Coordinator.

Our UNITY
I dreamed I stood in a studio
and watched two sculptors there.
The clay they used was a young child’s mind
and they fashioned it with care.
One was a teacher, the tools he used
were books and music and art.
The other was a parent with a guiding hand
and a gentle and loving heart.
Day after day, the teacher toiled with touch
that was deft and sure
While the parent labored by his side
and polished and smoothed it o’er.
And when at last their task was done,
they were proud of what they had wrought.
For the things they had molded in the child
could never be sold or bought.
And each agree they would have failed
if each had worked alone.
For behind the parent stood the school
And behind the teacher, the home.
