A student assigned to begin the 2012-13 school year at the Alternative Middle School or the Alternative High School must complete an enrollment packet for the new year. School begins on August 27, 2012.
A student who completed the 2011-12 school year at AMS or AHS and is scheduled to return for the 2012-13 school year will have a schedule to begin the new year. On the first day of attendance the student will be given a registration packet that must be completed and returned prior to the end of the first week.
Any other student assigned to start the 2012-13 school year at AMS or AHS must call to make an appointment for an intake conference. Conferences will be scheduled beginning on August 17, 2012. Conferences will be scheduled between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
Students assigned from NEISD schools will need to provide proof of residency prior to completing the enrollment packet and intake conference.
Students assigned from districts other than NEISD will need to provide prior to completing the enrollment packet and intake conference:
1. Copy of Birth Certificate
2. Copy of Social Security Card
3. Copy of Immunization Record
4. Copy of Withdrawal or last Report Card, and
5. Proof of Residency (one of the following):
CPS Bill, or
Residency Lease with student name listed
A parent or guardian may pick up an enrollment packet prior to the intake conference provided they supply required documents outlined above.
