About Our Special Education Program:

The Special Education Department provides our students with a comprehensive program of instructional arrangements for those who meet eligibility requirements. These arrangements include the Content Mastery Center, resource classes, inclusion in the general education classroom, and speech and language therapy, if needed. Additional services, such as occupational therapy and physical therapy, are provided by visiting staff for students meeting the requirements.

Special Education teachers collaborate on a variety of programs, techniques, coaching, tutoring, study skills, time management, and testing for students. They utilize a variety of methods and strategies to ensure individual student academic accomplishment and content mastery. The Special Education team works closely with the counselor, teachers on campus, and other district specialists, to provide a nurturing and appropriate environment for student learning.
