North East ISD - safety department

Department Overview
The Safety Department was established in 2009. Our Mission is to provide children and staff with a safe environment. We will manage the facility safety issues that occur at schools and buildings throughout the District.
Department responsibilities include:
- Employee training including back support, forklift safety, defensive driving, kitchen safety, fall protection and personnel protection
- Investigations of all serious student accidents
- Inspections of all District facilities
The Safety Department would like the document School Fire Safety Checklist available to all campuses to serve as a guideline to help in their self-inspection. The items listed are from the San Antonio Metropolitan Health Department, San Antonio Fire Department, and the Safety Department.
