Mrs. Loudermilk is excited to have begun her adventure in administration as an Academic Dean at Harris.  Her path to becoming a Hawk was filled with wonderful experiences and memories.  Mrs. Loudermilk began her career path when she graduated from Schreiner College (now University) in Kerrville in 1994.  From Schreiner she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and her Secondary Teaching Certification.   She further continued her education receiving a Master of Science in Educational Administration and her Principal Certification both in 2004 from Texas A & M – Kingsville.

Along the way, Mrs. Loudermilk’s education has allowed her to teach fabulous students in 6th, 7th, and 8thgrades.  She spent 14 years teaching English and English/Language Arts in regular, GT, and Pre AP classes.  She also spent one year teaching Junior English in a non-traditional night class.  Beyond teaching, Mrs. Loudermilk has been a pep squad and cheerleading coach, a UIL co-sponsor and coach, a team leader, and a department chair, as well as serving on numerous campus and district committees.  Above all, her greatest love in education is the children and seeing the sparks of excitement in them!  She feels they have taught her far more than she has taught them.

Away from work, Mrs. Loudermilk spends time with her loving husband and two small children – neither of whom is in school, yet.  A great deal of time is spent with church activities.  Mrs. Loudermilk sings in the choir, is a member of a church committee, fills in when needed in the pre-school, and has taught 4th grade Sunday School.  Her husband is a deacon in the church, teaches Sunday School, serves on a church committee, and plays trumpet in the church orchestra.  Their 4 year old daughter also sings and is in the 4 and 5 year olds’ choir.  Her 2 year old son is not involved, yet, but she believes he will also join choir when he turns 4 because he loves to sing with her in practice.

Other activities the family enjoys are trips to the zoo where the kids love to see the giraffe and fish, trips to the park to play ball and swing, outings to Sea World, and trips to see family.  They also enjoy watching baseball on TV and live at the stadium.  When she has the opportunity, Mrs. Loudermilk tries to squeeze in time to scrapbook, read, listen to music, and spend time outdoors.

Mrs. Loudermilk’s ultimate goal in education is for every child to attain personal success.
