I am very happy to be at Garner Middle School. I believe that middle school is the place to be! I have been in education for 28 years and have had the opportunity to
work at elementary, high school, but have found the most excitement and rewards
in middle school. Prior to being an
administrator I was a Special Education Coordinator and teacher.

I was raised an army brat and had the fortunate
experiences of living over seas as well as being able to travel extensively as a
youngster. I was born in Japan. My dad retired out of Fort Sam Houston, so I lived on post as well. I attended school here in San Antonio receiving a B.A. from UTSA and a
M.Ed. from Trinity University.

I have been married for 24 years and we are the
proud parents of three boys, two of which are Eagle Scouts.
I very much enjoy the outdoors, love to camp, and am definitely a
Texas kind of person who loves the summer heat.
I love animals. We are a family with four dogs, two cats and a fish. I also grew up on the equestrian scene, and miss riding horses including
dressage, hunters and jumpers. When
I have extra time I also love to read, swim and like to putter in the yard.
