My name is Ben Peterson, I am the assistant principal for any student whose last name begins with the letters M-Z.  However, I enjoy working with all of our students on a daily basis.  I have had the unique opportunity of becoming an administrator at Garner after teaching 6th grade science here.  Garner is a great place to work and a great place for our students to learn.  My vision is to see all of our students stretch their imagination, become inspired to learn, and grow to become productive members of our community.
            I received my BA from the University of Houston-Victoria and my M.Ed from Trinity University.  I have taught at the elementary and middle school levels - all here in North East ISD.  Prior to my career in education, I was an infantryman in the United States Army.  Away from school, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Jeanne, and our two sons, Nolan and Max.
