My name is Ben Peterson, I am the assistant principal for any student whose last name begins with the letters M-Z.  However, I enjoy working with all of the Garner students on a daily basis.  I have had the unique opportunity of becoming an administrator here after teaching 6th grade science here at Garner.  Garner is a great place to work and a great place for our students to learn.  My vision is to see each child stretch their imagination, become inspired to learn, and grow to become a better person.

     I received my BA from the University of Houston-Victoria and my M.Ed from Trinity University.  I have taught at the elementary and middle school levels - all here in North East ISD.  Prior to my career in education, I was an infantryman in the United States Army.  Away from school, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son as well as riding my bike and running.
