A Note from the Counselors and the Clinic
Counseling
The School counselors consult and communicate with parents, faculty/ staff and the community. We lead classroom guidance activities using
appropriate guidance materials. Examples include:
social interaction, self esteem and safety. We also meet with individuals and small groups. We provide standardized testing and
assist in the referral process for special programs.
Clinic
The Fox Run Clinic has a full- time
registered nurse and a clinic assistant. The nurse provides students with
on-going health education that is age-appropriate.
Vision and hearing
screenings, as well dental screenings are provided. Classes in hand washing, hygiene, dental care and maturation are held with different grade levels
throughout the year. Our nurse believes in collaboration between the home and school are necessary to keep children healthy and ready to learn.
