Meal Participation
The School Nutrition Services department offers breakfast and lunch each day at 65 locations throughout the district. Each day approximately 11,000 breakfasts and 40,000 lunches are served. In addition to breakfast and lunch, students may also choose from a variety of extra food items or desserts. [View last year's meal participation]
Meal Prices
- Elementary: Lunch - $1.80 Breakfast - $0.90
- Secondary: Lunch - $2.05 Breakfast - $0.95
- Reduced Price: Lunch - $0.40 Breakfast - $0.30
- Milk: $0.40
The school cafeterias offer a payment plan in all schools. Meals and a la carte items may be purchased with this plan. Any amount may be deposited into the student's account. The account is reduced each time an item is purchased. Payments may be made by cash or check at the school cafeteria or by credit card online at MyLunchMoney.com.
Additionally, the school district participates in the Free and Reduced Price Meal Program. Applications
for the Free and Reduced Price Meal Program are available in each school office, online under the Free and Reduced Meals link, or by contacting the School Nutrition Services office at 657-8826.
Meal Charges
Elementary Schools
The following guidelines are followed for elementary students with meal charges.
1. Charge letters will be sent home each week. NOTE: Students are not allowed to charge extra items if funds are not available.
2. If charges are at $10.00, the charge letter is mailed from the School Nutrition Services office. This letter will be accompanied by a letter to the parent from the Executive Director of School Nutrition Services requesting payment and stating that only a sandwich and milk will be provided for a fee until the account is paid in full. A copy of the letter will also be sent to the principal.
Secondary Schools
Students are expected to have funds available for the purchase of their meal. However, if necessary students may be allowed to charge no more than one meal.
All adults are expected to make payment at time of purchase. Charges will not be accepted.
