LOCATION: Johnson High School AuditoriumJohnson High School Theatre Presents A Midsummer Night's Dream

The Johnson High School theatre department opens its 2012—2013 season with William Shakespeare’s most popular and enduring comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Performances will be held October 11—13 at 7 p.m. and October 14 at 2 p.m. in the Johnson Theatre. Admission is $6 presale and $8 at the door.

Romp through the magical forest with our ardent young lovers, mischievous fairies and a ragtag band of trades people as they encounter a night filled with wonder.  A Midsummer Night’s Dream’s theatrical spell is strong enough to make audiences of all ages believe that anything is possible. Shakespeare’s classic comedy is his tribute to humankind’s power of imagination!

The play has a history of drawing out the more playful sides of directors, and Johnson’s production is no exception. The modern day setting moves from the swanky elegance of the Athenian court to a frenzied techno-infused landscape where fairies frolic with abandon. As the worlds of the mortals and fairies collide, expect a rollicking good time!
