Garner Yearbook REcognized by American Scholastic Press
The Garner Middle School yearbook program was awarded second place honors from the American Scholastic Press Association for their work. This is the second year that Garner’s program has been recognized with a high level award from this organization. The 2012 yearbook, titled “Dream Think Do,” took second place in the Intermediate Schools division with enrollment between 500-1000. The American Scholastic Association reviews hundreds of yearbooks from across the nation each year and scores each book on a point system to determine places.
“The yearbook staff used bright colors and fun pictures to convey the unique activities that Garner hosted during 2011-2012. They worked hard to include as many students as they could fit into the book and designed layouts, took great pictures and wrote interesting articles, developing the story of the year that we are all very proud of,” said yearbook advisor Amanda White.
