Computer Viruses

Just like human viruses, computer viruses are spread by careless contact. Only with a computer, it is usually through a downloaded file, an infected email, or through trojans, spyware or other malicious software. 

The district uses E-Trust as it's #1 defense against viruses but that doesn't mean you can never get a virus.  Your best defense is to know who is sending you any file and to download it to your desktop and run the virus scan on that file before you open it or use it.  If you don't know how to use E-Trust, talk to your CNC on campus.
