Technology Support and Integration Tips
Where to get help, solve problems, and make life easier for integrating technology in the classroom
Tips on Handling Technology and Students
- Have a sponge activity at the beginning and end of class. This will keep the students on a task while you deal with the technology and save your sanity at the end of a period.
- Be sure to assign a computer to each student (see the documentation for the wireless for an example of a student sign in). If anything happens to the computer, then you will know who in your class used the computer.
- Submit your tips here.
- If a computer, printer, or camera does not work, be sure to check the connections to the power source. Try a different plug and/or cord.
- If your Internet seems to stop working, check the back of the computer. The place where the network cable should be plugged into has two blinking lights. If you have a connection, you should see the two blinking lights.
