Lesson Title: Story Mapping and Retelling Software Application(s): KLRN Streaming Videos and Kidspiration Directions: 1. Log in to KLRN Streaming Videos. 2. Type in "A Boy, A Dog, and A Frog" 3. Right-Click on the d to download the video. Choose "Save target as". Save it to your desktop. 4. Show the video to your students. This video has no words, so the students have to attend to the actions on the screen. 5. After viewing the video whole class, have the students retell the story orally. 6. In the lab, have the students open Kidspiration and click on Reading and Writing. 7. Have students choose the Tell a Story template. 8. Have the students add a sentence to the text bubble above the boy with invented spelling. The sentence should be something the boy would have said in the story. 9. Have the students add a dog and a frog to the scene. **As an extension, the students can add a sentence for the frog and the dog!
