Directions for using the Encyclopedia Britannica Reading Activities -The Golden Eagle

Encyclopedia Britannica has stories on line that have pre-reading activities, during reading activities and after reading comprehension practices.  The stories can be read to you as well as read silently.  These stories can be read...1) whole class using multimedia/tv,  2) individually in a lab setting, or 3) individually in a computer center.

1) Have students complete the Getting Ready to Read section.

2) Have them read the story and click on the vocabulary words and comprehension checkpoints while reading.

3) Have the students complete Quiz time.  (It does have a printer icon for printing but it does not include a place to type the student's name.)
