Lesson Title: Light Software Application(s): PowerPoint, Publisher
Directions: 2. When research is complete, students should open a new Publisher document and select a type of brochure. 3. Have students delete page 1. (They will use 3 heading boxes and three text boxes.) 4. In the title text box, students will enter a title, "What is Light?". They will then enter a paragraph which describes characteristics of light. Students may change font style and size appropriate for length of paragraph. 5. Students should enter a title for the second title box and then type in a paragraph which describes what reflection is and provide examples of objects. Students can change the graphic to an object which can reflect. Students may change font style and size appropriate for length of paragraph. 6. Students should enter a title for the third title box and then type in a paragraph which describes what refraction is and provide examples of objects. Students can change the graphic to an object which can refract. Students may change font style and size appropriate for length of paragraph.
1. Use PowerPoint and it drawing tools, have students create reflection art. 2. Read the book Fortunately, by Remi Charlip. Have students complete their own versions of the Fortunately pattern book using information they have learned in the Light unit. |
