Lesson Title:  Inherited Traits

Software Application(s):  PowerPoint

Directions:
1. Discuss the difference between inherited and acquired traits.

2. On slides 2-6, students list inherited traits between the adult and baby.

3. On slides 7-8, students use the trait clues to determine the animal to which these refer. Then they insert a clip art picture which answers the question "What am I?".

4. Students insert 2 additional slides and create their own "Who am I?" slides with plant and animal traits.

5. On slide 11, students think about and list specific traits they have inherited.

6. On slide 12, students think about and list specific traits they have acquired.
