Lesson Title: Letter/Sound Recognition Software Application(s): Kidspiration Directions: (Before doing this activity in the lab, share this activity with your students in the classroom using your multimedia computer which is connected to the TV.) 1. Have the students open up Kidspiration. On the opening page, students will click on the Reading/Writing button and choose the second picture named Alphabet Examples. 2. Have students click on the green guy on the menu bar and add their name.
3. Students click and drag
pictures from the symbol palette to match the sounds of each letter. (The
students can use the blue arrows to move between symbol categories.) 4. Have students label the picture by clicking on the box under the picture when it is highlighted and typing. 5. When finished, students may print their work. This activity will take approximately 2 computer lab times.
