    B3 Exit programs by clicking on the "X" in the upper right hand corner of a program window.
    B4 Use the left click button on the mouse to select or drag objects on the screen.
    B7 Understand and properly use Save and Save As.
    M1 Open an existing presentation on the student-shared directory.
    M2 Use a teacher created template to complete and activity.
Directions:

This PowerPoint activity should take 2-3 weeks in the lab to complete.

  1. Slide 1: Students type their name on title slide.
  2. Slides 2-4: Discuss common characteristics between pictures. Teacher should model how students should click behind the "'..." and type in correct word which describes the common attribute.
  3. Slides 5-6: Students are provided with an attribute and one picture which follows the attribute. Together, students and teacher must decide which of the graphics below the line also contain the specific attribute. Teacher should model how students should click and drag appropriate pictures above the line so that all pictures containing the attribute are together.
  4. Slide 7: Student must describe the attributes which make the two pictures different. Then, they must complete the pattern by clicking and dragging the appropriate graphics from below the line into the colored boxes.
  5. Slide 8: Students must identify the attributes which make the two pictures different. Teacher will model the correct spelling of each attribute and how to type in answer next to red *. Students must copy correct spelling of word.
  6. Slides 9-12: Follow directions as for slides 7 and 8.
  7. Print completed activity by clicking on "File/Print/Handouts/6 per page".
