I am a 1991 graduate of MacArthur High School. During my high school years I attended Perry Callaway's Electrical Program. I then attended ITT Technical Institute and received my Associates in Applied Science. I worked for a small company repairing equipment for Paragon Cable, but my heart was always in the electrical industry. I pursued it and started my career with F&W Electric and Tim Smoot before I received my journeyman license. Then I went on to work for companies like Profile, TD Industries, and Southwest Electric. While I was working for Southwest I was given the opportunity to become an Instructor at the IEC Apprenticeship Program. This is where I realized how much I enjoyed teaching. Now I have been given another wonderful opportunity to teach at MacArthur.
Instrctor: Mr. Victor Casares
Hello my name is Victor Casares and this is my first year teaching full time at MacArthur High School. I am currently teaching Principles of Architecture and Construction and Electrical Technology. I served in the United States Navy during desert storm and desert shield. After completed my term in the military I started my electrical carrier with Bexar Electric and moved over with Hill Electric. I have been currently in the electrical field for over seventeen years. I have also had the privilege to teach for over four years at the IEC adult national electrical apprenticeship program and have been able to help out the MacArthur Electrical Apprenticeship program for over 3 years with the judging of their electrical competitions and Habitat for Humanity. I feel very strong that I can help the program grow and help the students excel in their future endeavors.
