EMPLOYMENT BULLETIN

INSTRUCTIONAL DEAN OF MATHEMATICS
ROOSEVELT HIGH SCHOOL

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree a plus
Minimum of seven (7) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Texas Teacher Certification by the State Board
Valid Texas Driver's License with driving record that meets the requirements of the District

MAJOR PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists administrators and teachers in planning, implementing, and assessing the District curriculum, goals, and objectives
Collaborates with central office staff and campus administrators in monitoring the delivery of curriculum
Utilizes a clinical supervision model to observe teachers and provide feedback on instruction
Mentors new teachers and works to develop capacity for all teachers in the department
Assists administrators and teachers in planning, implementing and assessing staff development programs
Collaborates with middle school and elementary instructional staff to vertically align the curriculum and instructional practices, and to articulate the Pre-AP programs
Assists in developing, implementing and assessing best practice teaching methodologies in the classroom
Performs demonstration teaching within classrooms
Assists in textbook adoption, distribution and material review
Plans, coordinates, and assess transition activities for 8th to 9th grade students
Performs additional duties and accept other responsibilities as may be assigned

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

SALARY: Teacher Salary Schedule Plus Stipend PAY GRADE: WORK SCHEDULE: Ten Months
