POTENTIAL JOB OPENINGS

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Completion of two years of study at a college or university of higher education and/or possess an Associate's Degree or higher from a college or university (Required for Employment in Title I Schools Only)
One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Paraprofessional Certification as required by the District and the State Board
Valid I.D. or Drivers License
Must be able to pass physical and drug test
Must be able to lift 100 pounds with assistance

MAJOR PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays
Assists with administration and scoring of objectives testing instruments or work assignments
Helps maintain a neat and orderly classroom
Helps with inventory, care and maintenance of equipment
Helps teacher keep administrative records and prepares required reports
Provides orientation and assistance to substitute teacher
Conducts instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; works with individual students or small groups
Helps supervise students throughout the school day, inside and outside the classroom - includes lunchroom, bus and playground duty and movement of students from one classroom to another
Keeps teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students
Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

HOURLY:
$9.60-$12.00 PAY GRADE: I-1 WORK DAYS: 179
