AVID TUTOR
TEMPORARY - PART TIME

MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL CAMPUSES

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Minimum of 2 years teaching, instructing, or tutoring experience working with youth in public schools, church related schools, day camps, youth groups, private schools, licensed day care centers or other approved settings a plus
Valid Texas Drivers License with driving record that meets the requirements of the District

MAJOR PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Attend training in the specific NEISD or campus tutoring program to be provided
Manage learning materials and create student materials for specific lessons
Provide instruction in math, reading, or writing
Relate positively to children and develop respectful relationships
Keep information abut children and achievement confidential
Prepare lessons and reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles
Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process where available
Assess student progress and report to classroom teacher
Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records and other documents required
Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Temporary Part-time

HOURLY:
$10.00 per hour PAY GRADE: N/A WORK DAYS: DURING AND/OR AFTER-SCHOOL
