FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANT
(PART-TIME)

SCHOOL NUTRITION SERVICES

QUALIFICATIONS:

One month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be able to understand instructions and communicate in basic English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must be able to pass physical and drug test
Must be able to lift 100 pounds with assistance

MAJOR PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares and follows instructions in cooking and/or baking meat, vegetables, etc.
Complies with all safety and sanitation regulations
Reads and follows recipe instructions
Cleans and sanitizes equipment
Operates equipment safely per instructions
Communicates with coworkers, customers and staff about meal items
Maintains personal appearances and hygiene
Records and uses leftovers as instructed
Serves portions as instructed
Follows procedures for accurate cashiering and in accordance with departmental and Child Nutrition regulations
Perform additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

HOURLY:
$9.15-$11.44 PAY GRADE: O1 WORK DAYS: 179
