  • 4.19A: Generate ideas and plans for writing by using such prewriting strategies as brainstorming, graphic organizers, notes, and logs.
  • 4.19B:  Develop drafts by categorizing ideas, organizing them into paragraphs, and blending paragraphs within larger units of text.
  • 4.19C: Revise selected drafts by adding, elaborating, deleting, combining, and rearranging text.

 Students will focus on one detail in their composition by adding richer descriptions and expanding on that detail.

Day 4

Which Sentence Does Not Belong?

 Students will be able to determine sentences that do not belong in the text and give evidence to support their choices.

Day 5

Focused Revision and Editing Using Student Papers

Students will analyze examples of compositions.
Then students return to their compositions to revise and edit.
