Howdy from the library!  I am a native Texan and proud of it.  When I was in elementary school we had no library in the school so I loved to visit the public libraries here in San Antonio.  I could ride my bike to the Landa branch or take the bus to the San Pedro branch or the downtown Main Library.  Reading has always been one of my favorite past times.  I also enjoy  singing in my church choir, hiking,  working out at the fitness center, and traveling.  I visited Israel in 2000 and plan to go to Brazil this summer.  

I received my B. S. in elementary education from Southwest Texas State and my Masters in education from UTSA.  Before I became a librarian I was a kindergarten teacher.  I have enjoyed working with the "big kids" and becoming familiar with their books.  I've raised 5 children and animals too numerous to mention.   We presently have only 3 dogs and 2 aquariums of fish.  El Dorado is a great school and I'm delighted to be serving here in the library.

 Hi everyone!  This is my first year being part of the El Dorado family.  I am so happy to be here with our awesome students, teachers and staff.  We have a wonderful school for your child to learn and grow in.

I was born in California, but have been a Texan all my life!  Yee-haw!  I attended East Terrell Hills Elementary and graduated from Roosevelt High School.  I am a graduate of Texas A& M University with a degree in Biomedical Science, and LOVE being an AGGIE!  GIG’EM!!

I am so blessed to be married to my wonderful husband, Nick, for almost 20 years.  We have one incredible son, Nico, who is a freshman at Reagan High School.  We also have a very special member of our family… our pet pug, Waffles, who makes our day so happy by just wagging her curly tail!  When I am not helping find YOUR favorite book, I love to travel, go to the movies, play scrabble, read, go to Spurs games, and watch my son play tennis. 

I know you will enjoy every moment in our fantastic library.  We have so many marvelous activities and programs for our students, to help become better readers.  I am here to help you in any way I can, and ALWAYS with a smile! Our motto is: “Better Readers Make Better Students!”
