Eisenhower Library Information

Eisenhower Library Mission Statement:

To help students and staff become life long learners and effective users of ideas and information,

We accomplish this mission by:

  • Providing a current, relevant collection of books, audio books, videotapes, and other media.
  • Collaborating with teachers to teach information literacy skills.
  • Providing open, flexible access to the library collection.
  • Fostering a love of literature through reading incentive programs such as Lone Star Books, book clubs, and trivia contests.
  • Encouraging students and faculty to be life-long learners through special programs and events such as author visits, storytellers, and Book Fairs.
  • Providing access to the Internet and other electronic information resources, with instruction for their use.
  • Supporting the curriculum and Campus Plan through collaborative teaching and collection development.

We are not open before school when we have faculty meetings (usually 1st and 3rd Wednesdays).   Occasionally we are closed before or after school because of a meeting or special event.


Check Out Policies

Students may check out up to four books at a time for a two week period.   We ask students to check out a limit of 1 audio book or Lone Star title at a time.  Reference books may NOT be checked out.

Parents may check out books.

Other Information

Students accessing the Internet in the Library are required to have a  AUP/permission form on file.  Internet access in the library is limited to school related assignments and is not for personal entertainment purposes.
