DRISCOLL VOLLEYBALL 2009
Before you know it we will be back in school and ready to start volleyball. On the first day of school, August 24th, there will be a volleyball meeting from 3:45pm-5:00pm in the girl’s gym. Please pick up your athlete behind the school, on the concourse no later than 5:15pm.
Each player will need to have a physical examination by a doctor. Please use the official UIL form. This form must be returned to a coach prior to/or on the first day of practice. If a player does not have their physical turned in they WILL NOT be allowed to participate in the 2009 season.
Practice will begin on Tuesday, August 25th. A schedule for the season will be given to the athletes at the meeting on Monday. The 7th grade will practice after school for the remainder of the first week from 3:45pm-5:30pm. The 8th grade will practice in the morning, beginning at 6:30, on Tuesday. Each grade will alternate practice times (morning / afternoon) each week. All athletes must be picked up on the concourse, behind the school, no later than fifteen minutes after practice ends.
Athletes will need to wear the proper practice attire. Uniforms consist of maroon shorts and a gray t-shirt, or a Driscoll athletic shirt. All athletes need a pair of court shoes that offer good support.
Along with a physical form, we are enclosing a participation form that must be completed for the district. Please read the information about medical treatment and insurance coverage very carefully. These forms must be returned to the coaches before an athlete will be allowed to participate in a practice.
