DRESS FOR SUCCESS

Standardized dress is required for all students enrolled at Clara Driscoll Middle School.  The student garment must fit properly, not exceeding one (1) size below or beyond the correct size and may not be modified in any way.  This includes bagging or sagging.  A student will not be permitted to attend class if the attire is out of compliance with the standardized dress policy.

 

DRISCOLL BOYS DRESS FOR  SUCCESS!

 

POLO SHIRTS/CREW NECK T-SHIRTS

¨         Solid white, navy or burgundy with no contrasting trim.

¨         Collared polo/golf shirts, crew-neck t-shirts, long or short sleeves. 

¨         Length not to exceed the inseam of the pants.

¨         Solid white, navy or burgundy undershirts, Must match the color of the shirt being worn or be white. 

¨         Buttons only—no zippers.

¨         Driscoll spirit shirts everyday.

¨         Madison/MacArthur or college/university spirit shirts on Friday only.

 

PANTS/TROUSERS/WALKING SHORTS

¨         Khaki or navy only.

¨         Cotton or polyester twill fabric.

¨         Knee-length walking shorts (no more than 3” above knee) and ankle-length pants.

¨         No form fitting pants.

¨         Waistband must be worn at waist.

 

BELTS

¨         Belt length, no more than 3” overlap.

¨         No suspenders.

 

NO steel-toed shoes or house shoes allowed for girls or for boys.  For safety, we strongly recommend shoes with more than between the toe support.

 

INCLEMENT WEATHER ATTIRE

¨         Students may wear any type of outerwear necessary for the weather conditions.  Pullovers are not considered outerwear.

¨         Students may wear the designated standardized zippered sweatshirts, V-neck sweater vests, pullover sweaters, cardigans, or sweat shirts in solid white, navy or burgundy.  These may have a small logo on them.  They must be worn over the standardized shirt or blouse with the shirt collar showing. Zippered sweatshirts must be open (unzipped) during the school day.  Driscoll spirit wear is acceptable at any time.

¨         All pullovers are considered to be part of the standardized dress.
