PE COURSE DESCRIPTION
Physical education is an activity-based course designed to develop fitness and knowledge in obtaining a fit body. Systematic instruction in individual sports, team sports, and lifetime activities is included. The five elements of focus for physical education include: muscular strength and endurance; flexibility; cardio-respiratory endurance; and body composition. These areas contribute to a well-rounded, healthy person. Whether a student is an athletic person or not, all students can experience these elements and gain from that experience.
