VISION

Upon promotion from school, the students will embrace a passion for learning and develop an understanding of their own learning abilities. Equipped with the desire to share knowledge with others, the students will pursue opportunities for life long learning. This will be accomplished by:

·        Responsive and supportive administration

·        Positive school climate

·        Collaborative colleagues

·       Knowledgeable and flexible teachers who nurture the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students

·       Proactive character building

·       Vertically-aligned assessments

·       Research-based, focused curriculum with differentiated instruction and specific, directed intervention

VALUES

We will continue our commitment to develop and support a responsive, positive, and collaborative environment for students, parents, colleagues, and the community that promotes a passion for life-long learning. In order to accomplish this, we make the following commitments:

·        We will work closely with administrators to keep them informed and to seek their advice and support.

·        We will treat people and property with respect.

·        We will initiate only positive interactions with others.

·        We will facilitate and model effective collaboration and communication.

·        We will ensure flexible, supportive instruction designed to meet individual needs.

·        We will encourage positive character development in all students and staff by implementing Capturing Kids Hearts and Self-Manager programs.

·        We will vertically align our curriculum assessments by using research-based strategies to provide differentiated instruction.

·        We will embrace diverse learning styles by providing a nurturing environment and building on individual strengths.
