A Metaphor of My Life
My life can be compared to a chewing gum wrapper chain.
At over 20 ft. long, it is an array of hundreds of multicolored links
Red (Big Red Gum) represents all the scary times:
Leaving home for the first time, my first divorce soon there after,
The death of my mother, "Miss you, mom!"
Yellow (Juicy Fruit Gum) reminds me of all goodness bestowed upon me. Like good health, a wonderful family and home, and the God-given gift of relating to children
Green (Double Mint Gum) equates to the many debts and assets through the years. Like tons of bill collectors and too few lottery wins
Blue (Winter Mint Gum) is a symbol of my children
Gina, my oldest,
Loryanna, my replica
Jon-Erik & Janel, my twins
Joshua, my first grandson
Noah, his brother
White (Spearmint Gum) remains my constant hope of continuing to "chew" for the rest of my life.

Listen To Me
Listen to me... stop crying, mommy will watch over you
Listen to me... don?t be fighting, love your sister
Listen to me... before you go out to play, clean your room
Listen to me... careful, I love you, be back before dark!
Listen to me... finish your homework? need any help?
Listen to me... your hair looks fine. Is he in your class?
Listen to me... don?t be bothered if he didn?t call. It?s his loss.
Listen to me... sit here beside me . What movie shall we watch?
Listen to me... don?t forget we have to pick up your prom dress
Listen to me... bring him by for your graduation celebration
Listen to me... write every chance you get, o.k? I?ll miss you
Listen to me... have fun, study hard, God bless, I love you
Listen to me... it?s okay if you can?t make it this year
Listen to me... kisses and hugs to the boys from "granny"
Listen to me.. remember not to argue over the small stuff
Listen to me... He loves you!
Listen to me... did I mention I went to see the doctor?
Listen to me... there?s nothing we can do. How?s the new job?
Listen to me... I?ll be waiting for photos of the boys? graduation, o.k?
Listen to me.. your courage will carry you through, I love you
Listen to me... stop crying, mommy will watch over you
