The North East ISD School Board Of Trustees convened in special session to approve a capital improvement bond election for November 8, 2011 for $399,410,000. More information is available on two videos: "Why We Do What We Do" and "2011 Bond Proposal." In "Why We Do What We Do" Superintendent Dr. Brian Gottardy explains the North East ISD strategy for building schools. The second video, "2011 Bond Proposal," provides a brief summary of the District's proposed 2011 Capital Improvement Bond Program. |

Two North East schools received awards from the "Exhibit of School Architecture," a collaborative project of the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA), the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB), and the Texas Society of Architects (TSA).
- Cibolo Green Elementary School was recognized in six categories:
Value, Process of Planning, Design, Educational Appropriateness, Innovation, and Sustainability. Read more.
