2011 Bond Project:
Sun Shade Upgrade Program for ES Playground Areas
Scope: |
To protect children from exposure to the sun, the 2011 Bond Program includes funding to install playground sunshade structures at 38 District elementary schools without existing playground sunshade canopies. This project will be implemented in six (6) construction phases beginning with the older elementary school campuses first. Construction will occur over a fifteen-month period commencing during June 2013 and concluding by August 2014. Existing sunshade structures at 19 elementary school campuses will remain in-place with no additional work planned at these playground sites. However, near the conclusion of this project, all existing campus playground sunshade structures will be reassessed by District and campus staffs to determine their overall condition. |
