Garner Middle School Campus Replacement Project Phase 1


Project Details
Scope:
The Garner Middle School Campus Replacement Phase I design provides for construction of: (1) three complete grade-level houses including: forty-two grade-level classrooms; three resource classrooms; three collaborative learning centers; and three teacher resource centers; (2) journalism classroom; (3) central plant facility; (4) fire lane extension; (5) parking lot expansion; (6) landscaping, irrigation, drainage, site utilities, and infrastructure improvements to complement the new classroom addition; (7) four tennis courts and two outdoor basketball courts; (8) covered walkway connecting the new classroom addition to the existing campus facilities; and (9) channel improvements to the adjacent Salado Creek area. The total facility program equals 90,500 sq. ft. for the new classroom facility addition. Bid Package I will construct site infrastructure & utilities and FEMA-required drainage channel improvements for the adjacent Salado Creek floodway channel in preparation for the follow-on Bid Package II Classroom Addition/Renovation Project.

1 The Bond Planning Estimate represents the original bond program costs developed during the bond planning meetings for each project and includes: Design Fees, Construction Costs, Technology Equipment and Installation, Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment and Construction Management Costs. The School Board "approved" construction budget can be found in the project Bid Award Agenda Item and represents any/all changes to the project resulting from the design development process and/or construction marketplace and inflation costs.
