North East Agri-Science Magnet Program - 2012 COSA Green Building Award
The North East Agri-Science Magnet Program Facility was awarded the City of San Antonio 2012 Green Building Award under the Commercial/School Construction Category. Awards were presented on June 20, 2012, at a luncheon held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center where industry professionals and local dignitaries including City Councilman David Medina, Representative Mike Villarreal, and Commissioner Tommy Adkisson gathered to honor achievements in green building design and construction.
Board of Trustees Secretary Sandy Hughey, Superintendent Dr. Brian Gottardy, and Architect Roland de la Garza from Garza/Bomberger & Associates accepted the award on behalf of the North East ISD. Also in attendance at the awards luncheon were representatives from the North East ISD Construction Management Department; Garza/ Bomberger & Associates, the architectural design firm for Project; and Joeris General Contractors, Ltd., the General Contractor for the Project.
The City of San Antonio Green Building Awards recognizes achievements made by local architects and builders in designing and constructing energy and water efficient buildings. In its fourth year, the awards program celebrates building professionals and owners who have made significant strides in improving the performance of their buildings and specific construction projects.
