Stuff You Would Otherwise Throw Away

Label Redemption

Once again we are asking everyone in the Coker community to help out the school by saving:

1. Labels, lids, and UPC symbols from eligible Campbell's products
2. General Mills Big "G" Box Tops for Education
3. Tyson Project A+ end flaps

As in the past, the classroom with the highest label count each six weeks receives a special treat. At the end of the school year, the classroom with the highest label count overall receives a pizza party. Be looking for information and eligible product listings to be coming home soon in your child's Wednesday mail and remember to keep clippin' throughout the school year!

Recycling

Bring your newspapers, magazines, cardboard boxes and other clean paper goods for recycling to the teal and yellow bins in the parking lot.  The more paper we recycle, the more money the school receives each month.

Coker has been recycling since 1996 with Champion Recycling, now known as Donohue Recycling.  Coker gets cash rebates from Donahue based on the amount of paper collected in the bins.  If the bins generate at least 4 tons a month, we receive $15.00/ton.  Otherwise, we get $5.00/ton.  The money Coker receives from Donohue is used to buy instructional materials for the students and to pay for storytellers and other assemblies.  One bin holds an average of 1500 pounds.  The bins are usually emptied every 7 to 9 days, but it is easy for Donohue to make extra trips if our bins get full between regular pick up days.  Thank you for helping support Coker by bringing your recycling to our parking lot.
