Fever
Children with fever cannot be in school. If your child has a fever (100.2 or higher), please DO NOT send your child to school, even if you have given Tylenol or Motrin. Once the medication wears off the child is usually miserable and he/she exposes all the other children to illness. The clinic does not have Tylenol to give to students. |
Special Health Problems
If your child has a special health problem, such as asthma, allergies, diabetes, or any problem that will impact his/her health and safety at school, you must have a Special Health Problem form completed by your physician. These forms are available in the clinic, or you can go to the Health Services page on NEISD website and download a form. |
Health Screening
At the beginning of the year, health screenings are conducted. These include weighing and measuring students and vision and hearing screenings. If a problem or concern is noted, the nurse will contact parents by sending a referral home. Dental Screening for third graders takes place in February. If your child is not a third grader but you would like you child to be screened just let the nurse know. |
Please check out the Health Services Website for the policies regarding any health related issues.
