Welcome to all of our Champion families!  We are very excited about beginning our third year at Cibolo Green and are looking forward to another amazing year. I can truly say that I am so lucky to be able to work with our students each day as the principal of this school!  Your children will learn so much this year in their classes with the best teaching staff in NEISD!

For those of you who are new to our community, you may be interested in learning a little bit more about me. This is my 27th year in education and my 14th year as a principal. Wow, how time flies when you enjoy what you do!!

I grew up in a military family and had many opportunities to live in different states. I even spent four years in Germany when I was in 3rd-6th grade. I learned to speak German at a young age of nine! My family arrived in San Antonio in 1979, and I graduated from Cole High School on Ft. Sam Houston in 1981.

I then attended Baylor University, with the initial intent of becoming a geologist, my passion since 8th grade! However, my future took a different path when I decided to change my major to education at the end of my junior year. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education, with an emphasis in Earth Science and German.

I began my teaching career as an 8th grade Earth Science teacher at McNair Middle School in Southwest ISD. After five years of teaching, I received my Master of Arts degree in school leadership from UTSA and transitioned to an assistant principal’s position. I worked as an assistant principal for eight years before becoming the principal of Bob Hope Elementary, where I remained for six years.

After spending 19 years in SWISD, I was given the chance to join the
North East ISD family. In 2005, I was appointed as principal of Dellview Elementary in the Lee High School Cluster. While at Dellview, I received my Doctor of Education degree in educational leadership from UTSA and completed my Superintendent’s certification.

My husband, Steven, is a 3rd grade teacher at Fox Run Elementary. My son is a junior at O’Connor High School in NISD.  He plays the clarinet and tenor sax. He plans to major in Music when he goes to college. He is passionate about his music, so marching band season keeps us very busy!

I enjoy cooking with a new recipe and reading a great book when I have the chance. In addition, I am always looking to learn new things, especially as it relates to using technology in the classroom with students.

I take my job very seriously, and strive to work collaboratively with you and our staff to provide your children with the very best educational experiences possible. Go Champions!

Lisa Jimenez,, Assistant Principal

I am excited to be the new Assistant Principal and I look forward to meeting all the wonderful students and families at Cibolo Green Elementary.  I served the past five years as the Assistant Principal at Oak Meadow Elementary in NEISD.  Prior to becoming an Assistant Principal, I spent five years as an Instructional Intervention Teacher at Canyon Ridge and Royal Ridge.  I also taught second grade for three years at Olmos Elementary. 
I attended NEISD schools from K-12. I graduated from MacArthur High School and earned a Bachelors and Masters from UTSA.
On a personal note, I am married to my husband Mike and we have two daughters, Mikayla (7) and Lanie (5) who keep us very busy.  We enjoyed an eventful vacation with the girls in Jamaica this summer playing with dolphins and stingrays!
I believe in creating strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to help our students achieve their goals and make growth throughout the school year. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any reason!  I look forward to a wonderful 2012-2013 school year!
