Cibolo Green Elementary is located at 24315 Bulverde Green Road, in the Bulverde Village subdivision. Opened in August, 2010, it is one of the first “green” schools in San Antonio. Green schools are built with a focus on energy and water conservation, utilization of recycled and nontoxic construction materials, indoor environmental quality, site sustainability, design innovation, and use of the building as an instructional tool for students and the community.

Our school applied to become certified under the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program. The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a 501(c)(3) non profit composed of leaders from every sector of the building industry working to promote buildings and communities that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work. The LEED® Rating System is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings. Additional information about USGBC and LEED certification can be found on their website at www.usgbc.org.
