Peer Groups

MEMBERSHIP	11 & 12th Grade Students, by application to faculty sponsor and selection process.
MEETINGS	During class, lunch, after school as required.
DESCRIPTION	A student group trained to provide peer support in areas of adjustment, transition, grief, depression, stress, or other student difficulties. PALS are also trained in Peer Mediation and provide services for the student body, as well as mentoring elementary school students.

MEMBERSHIP	9th - 12th Grade Students, selected by application process.
MEETINGS	During class time.
DESCRIPTION	This course traines students to become mediators. Students will do various projects to make sure that Churchill remains designated as a NO PLACE FOR HATE SCHOOL.
FACULTY SPONSOR

MEMBERSHIP	Open to any Churchill student. Students may join any time during the school year but are required at least one of the two monthly meetings.
MEETINGS	Every other Tuesday, 7:45 a.m. in CT623
DESCRIPTION	Instill a sense of self pride and respect for individual and group differences. Improve relationships among students from different neighborhoods and backgrounds. Teach human relations/conflict resolution skills. Develop a network of students allies and leaders who diffuse conflicts and improve student relationships.

MEMBERSHIP	Open to any Churchill student who takes the Winners Circle Pledge.
MEETINGS	No general meetings. Advisory Board per month in CT623 at 7:45 a.m.
DESCRIPTION	A program designed to support students who chose to make positive life choices by pledging to be chemical free. Students voluntarily pledge to be drug/substance free each semester. Special activities and priveleges are planned for Winners Circle members.
FACULTY SPONSOR	Mrs. Beth Fox & Courtney Mayer
