The swimmers and divers competed in the UIL Region VII 5-A Championships . The girls were crowned Region VII -5A Champions and while the boys team finished 6rd overall.


The following Lady Chargers competed in the Finals at Saturday:
Payton Green : 200 Freestyle – 6th, 100 Backstroke-7th, 400 Free Relay – Gold Medal
Hannah Arnold: 200 Medley Relay-Gold, 200 IM – Bronze,  100 Breaststroke- Bronze, 400 Free Relay-Gold
Sophia Rodriguez: 200 Medley Relay-Gold, 100 Butterfly- Bronze, 200 Free Relay-Gold, 100 Breaststroke-Silver
Laura Brown: 200 Medley Relay-Gold, 200 Free Relay-Gold, 50Free-Bronze, 400 Free Relay-Gold
Megan Strickland: 200 Medley Relay- Gold, 200 Free Relay-Gold, 50 Freestyle-Silver, 100 Freestyle-Bronze
Haley Herzberg: 200 Freestyle-Gold, 500 Freestyle-Gold, 200 Free Relay-Gold, 400 Free Relay-Gold
Shaina Wiesberg:  200 Individual Medley-5th and 100 Breaststroke-7th
Teresa Cropper – 100 Breaststroke -11th
Valencia McDonald – 1 Meter Diving – 8th
On the boy’s side finalists included:
Ryder Ashton: 200 Medley Relay – 7th,  400 Free Relay-5th
Joel Schawe: - 200 Medley Relay – 7th, 500 Free-Bronze, 100 Breaststroke-9th , 400 Free Relay-5th
Marco Cabello- 200 Medley Relay- 7th
Kyle Emmons- 200 Medley Relay-7th,  200 Free Relay-5th
John Glasscock- 200 IM – 14th,
Cullen Player- 200 Free Relay-5th
David Bemporad- 200 Freestyle- 10th, 200 Free Relay – 5th, 400 Free Relay 5th

 


At the completion of the swim meet Coach Jedow was awarded the Region VII-5A Girls Coach of the Year.
The following swimmers have advanced to compete at the UIL State Swimming & Diving Championships on February 21st & 22nd.
