We are re-opening enrollment in Coyote Choir to fourth and fifth grade self-managers for our spring semester! Our choir is made up of students who love to sing and make music. This semester we will prepare for our Spring Sing performance to be held after the May 1st PTA meeting. We will also visit and perform for the residents at Franklin Park, a retirement home in our community. Coyote Choir rehearsals are held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in Room 225.
There are a limited number of openings available for new members in Coyote Choir. Return your commitment form and $25 choir fee to reserve your spot. New members will be admitted to choir on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Canyon Ridge Spelling Bee was held on Monday, January 9, 2012 in our school library. Students in fourth and fifth grades were given a spelling test in November. The top speller from each class was invited to participate in the Canyon Ridge Spelling Bee.
We met for six weeks in November and December to study the words. Many Bee participants studied at home as well.
The winner of the Canyon Ridge Spelling Bee this year is Abrar Mamun from Mrs. Franzen’s fifth grade class.
The runner-up was Zach Auster, from Mrs. Ransleben’s fourth grade class.
Abrar will participate in the Express-News 59th Annual Regional Spelling Bee at Laurie Auditorium, Trinity University on March 10, 2012.
