The school store is now open every Friday morning from 7:15-7:45 outside the cafeteria. Items range from .25-$3. We carry fun pencils, erasers, pens, mood rings and the ever-popular slap bracelets. Every week we have different items so check it out weekly. Parents, this is a great way for your kids to be grown up and make their own purchases. Volunteers help the kids add up their purchases and make change.

Every Friday is "spirit day." Remind your kids to wear their spirit shirts or one of the school colors. Each grade level has a competition to see which class has the most school colors worn. The winning class gets a variety of prizes and gets to carry the spirit stick for the week. We have also started the MOSP award, which goes to the class with the MOst SPirit throughout the whole school.

We are currently asking for gift cards from Target or WalMart in any amount so we can purchase school uniforms for our sister school, Ridgeview Elementary. This is a great way for our students to show their virtue of COMPASSION!  There is a donation bucket at the front office where cards can be dropped off or students can turn them into their teachers to the attention of Carol Pierce or Erin Ellis. Please send cards from Target or WalMart ONLY! Those are the only two stores we will be purchasing the uniforms from.  Thanks so much to all of our COMPASSIONATE COYOTES!!!

The Canyon Ridge PTA will sponsor the “President’s Volunteer Service Award Program” for the 2008-09 school year. Many of the volunteer activities such as safety patrol and CHAMPS that Canyon Ridge students are already participating in are eligible.
