All Stars & Orff Club

Musical All-Stars 

The All-Stars are a non-auditioned group.  Enrollment is open to any student in 4th & 5th grade at Bulverde Creek.  Information & member contracts are sent home with students the 2nd week of school in the fall.  Students who move into Bulverde Creek after the open enrollment period are welcome to join at the beginning of a new concert cycle.  See Mrs. Leonhardt or Mrs. Morris for information about joining.  This group meets every Tuesday & Thursday morning from 7:15 - 7:45 AM on the Stage and performs 4-6 concerts a year.  Music performed includes choral masterpieces, pop tunes,  choral/orff arrangements, folk music, and multicultural pieces. Presentations at community events are scheduled as time allows.

" Musik " Orff Ensemble

Musik is an auditioned Orff Ensemble. Auditions are held in May for incoming 4th & 5th graders at Bulverde Creek for the following fall.  Students who move into Bulverde Creek during the summer will have a chance to audition during the first 2 weeks of school.  This group meets every Wednesday morning from 7:15 - 7:45 AM in the music room. Music studied will follow the Orff-Schulwerk philosophy &  includes select pieces by Orff & Keetman, student compositions, and various Orff arrangements.  Instruments used include xylophones, metallophones, glockenspiels, various non-pitched percussion, voice, and creative movement.
